Prof. Dr. Thomas Aichner


Prof. Dr. Thomas Aichner currently serves as the Scientific Director of South Tyrol Business School. Before taking on this position, he spent three years as Assistant Professor at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, and two years as Associate Professor at John Cabot University in Rome. He holds a joint PhD in Management Engineering from the University of Padova and a Dr. rer. pol. in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Berlin’s ESCP Business School, with the special mention of Doctor Europaeus. His research is primarily focused on country of origin, mass customization, digital management, and artificial intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Aichner ist wissenschaftlicher Leiter der Südtirol Business School. Bevor er diese Position übernahm, war er drei Jahre lang Assistant Professor an der Alfaisal University in Riad und zwei Jahre lang Associate Professor an der John Cabot University in Rom. Er promovierte im Rahmen einer Cotutelle de thèse mit einem PhD in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen an der Universität Padua und mit einem Dr. rer. pol. in Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit dem Schwerpunkt Marketing an der ESCP Business School in Berlin, wofür ihm auch der Titel Doctor Europaeus verliehen wurde. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Country of Origin (Herkunftslandeffekte), Mass Customization (kundenindividuelle Massenproduktion), Digital Management und künstliche Intelligenz.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Aichner è il direttore scientifico dell'Alto Adige Business School. Prima di assumere questo incarico, è stato Assistant Professor all'Alfaisal University di Riyadh per tre anni e Professore Associato alla John Cabot University di Roma per due anni. Ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in ingegneria gestionale presso l'Università di Padova in cotutela con la ESCP Business School di Berlino, dove ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in economia aziendale con specializzazione in marketing. Ha inoltre ricevuto la qualifica di Doctor Europaeus. La sua ricerca si concentra sugli effetti del paese d'origine, la personalizzazione di massa, il management digitale e l'intelligenza artificiale.
